Client imported 300 Telegram accounts. Here's what happened.

A client called me last month panicking. He'd just imported 300 Telegram accounts into our system and started sending messages. Within 48 hours: 200 accounts banned.

I asked him what happened. Turns out he:

    • Bought 300 "aged" accounts from a reseller
    • Imported them all at once
    • Started sending 50 messages per account immediately
    • Used the same message template for everyone
    • Had no warmup period

He basically lit $3,000 on fire (300 accounts × $10 each + the cost of those accounts).

What We Fixed

Here's the recovery plan we implemented:

Week 1-2: Killed all remaining accounts. Started fresh with 20 self-created accounts.

Week 3-4: Warmup phase. Joined groups, engaged normally. Zero outreach.

Week 5-8: Gradual rollout. 5 messages/day per account. Fully personalized. Different templates for different segments.

Week 9+: Scaled to 20 messages/day per account after proving the model.

Results After 3 Months

    • 20 accounts running (not 300)
    • Average response rate: 19%
    • Monthly meetings: 15-20
    • Deals closed: 4/month
    • Cost: $300/month (vs. $3,000 one-time waste)

The Lesson

More accounts ≠ more leads. It's actually the opposite. 20 well-managed accounts outperform 300 neglected ones by a factor of 10.

The formula isn't "import accounts → blast messages → get leads." It's "create accounts → warm up → engage → personalize → follow up → track → optimize."

That client now runs a profitable lead gen operation with 20 accounts. He spent $3,000 to learn a $300 lesson.

Have you tried scaling Telegram outreach? What worked (or didn't)?
