Finding Telegram Groups Where Buyers Actually Hang Out (TgStat + AI Queries)

The hardest part of Telegram outreach isn't messaging — it's knowing where to look. There are millions of groups. Your buyers gather in dozens. Here's how to find them systematically instead of guessing.

Step 1: Seed with what you know

Write down 5–10 groups you already know hold your audience. Competitor communities, niche job boards, local buy/sell chats. These are your calibration set — you'll recognize the pattern of a good group (member count, message velocity, admin strictness) before scaling the search.

Step 2: TgStat search, then search again

TgStat indexes Telegram channels and groups with categories, geography, and engagement stats. Start with obvious keywords in your language and in English — many buying audiences hang out in English-language groups even in non-English markets.

Filter hard: minimum 1,000 members, visible daily activity, on-topic description. A 50,000-member group with 3 messages a week is a graveyard. A 3,000-member group with 200 messages a day is a goldmine.

Step 3: Let AI expand the query space

Your brain generates 10 keyword variants. An LLM generates 100, including slang, misspellings, and adjacent niches you'd never think of ("need apartment" → "relocation", "expat housing", "short-term rent"). Feed your seed keywords to an AI, ask for expanded search queries grouped by intent, then run each through TgStat. This single step typically 3–5x's the candidate list.

Step 4: Score before you commit

Don't join 100 groups. Score candidates on four axes:

  1. Density — messages per day per 1,000 members
  2. Relevance — sample 50 recent messages, count on-topic ones
  3. Accessibility — open posting vs admin approval vs read-only
  4. Competition — are three competitors already spamming it daily?
Keep the top 20%. Re-score monthly; groups decay as admins tighten rules or audiences migrate.

Automating the loop

Manual discovery caps out around 30–50 groups before it eats your week. We automated the whole loop in 24GO — AI query expansion, TgStat search, engagement scoring, and 24/7 monitoring of the winners, with HOT/WARM/COLD classification on everything they say. You pick the niche; the pipeline brings the groups and the leads.
